Sun Moon Lake Black Tea: Taiwan’s Famous Black Tea from Nantou

Sun Moon Lake Black Tea is one of the most famous Taiwan black teas and an important part of Taiwan’s tea culture. This tea is grown around Sun Moon Lake in Yuchi Township, Nantou County, a region known for producing some of the most aromatic teas in Taiwan.

Hehuan Mountain (Joy Mountain)

Hehuan Mountain (Héhuān Shān, Joy Mountain) is a mountain 3,416 m high in Central Taiwan. The mountain is part of central mountain range of the island. The peak lies on the borders of the Nantou and Hualien areas and is located in the Taroko National Park.

10th of October is Taiwan’s National Day, also known as Double 10 Day.

The 10th of October or «Double Tenth Day» is a main national holiday in Taiwan. This day is considered the foundation day of the first Republic of China.

10 (ten) is written as 十, and this gives this sign to the holiday.
