Tea is the most widely consumed drink in the world, along with water. In America, nearly 80% of households have tea at home. This is the only drink that can be served both hot and cold, anytime, anywhere and for any reason. More than 159 million Americans drink tea daily.

Oolong Names in Taiwan: Varieties, Regions, and Styles

Every variety of tea comes from the same Camellia Sinensis plant. Of course, there are different varieties of this plant, but the difference between green tea, oolong tea, and black tea lies in the processing method used after harvest. As for the taste of oolong tea the important factors are growing height, variety, harvesting method, oxidation and roasting, the seasons and the weather in a particular year also matter.

Leaf structure in tea

The ideal leaf structure for hand-picked tea is 2-3 leaves, a bud and a stem. When tea is harvested by hand, farmers can choose the ideal part of the plant that is most suitable for high-quality brewing, and usually these are the new growth of the tea bush (2-3 leaves, bud and stem).

Dayuling and kilometres

Sometimes after name of oolong Dayuling you can see two or tree digit numbers and letter «K»: 100K, 95K etc. What does it mean?
