Fu Shou Shan Osmanthus Oolong is the combination of Fu Shou Shan Oolong (Heaven Pool Oolong) with Osmanthus flowers. During the baking (final stage of tea processing), tea absorbs very slowly fragrance from fresh Osmanthus blossom and this gives to tea fine floral note. All farmers have their own technology how to make this tea, but use traditional processing method without any chemical elements or aromatization.
Fu Shou Shan oolong (also known as Heaven Pool oolong) is a very rare premium oolong tea from Fu Shou Shan Farm (The Fushoushan Farm) in Li Shan area. Farm is located between Mt. Hehuan and Mt. Snow at altitude 1800-2580 m. Fu Shou Shan is the second highest peak in the Li Shan Range, exceeding Li Shan. There is the Heaven Pool on the top of the mountain where there is water all year long and tea is named from its name. This tea plantation is one of the highest tea plantation over the world. Due to its high altitude and northern latitude, Fu Shou Shan's harvest begins much later than other oolong teas. At altitude 2500 meters, strong but short sun exposure in the morning produces intense flavor compounds, while cooler mist-enshrouded afternoons allow the plant to store those compounds. Osmanthus is a small evergreen shrub that blooms in late summer or the beginning of autumn. The color of Osmanthus flowers ranges from white, cream, yellow to orange-yellow.
Osmanthus oolong tea has big range of benefits: boosting digestive health, heart health, lung health, detoxication of the human body, skin health and healthy weight loss. Osmanthus oolong tea is high in antioxidants which can help in reducing the risk heart-related problems.
Leaves: are green, compact, rolled into small balls, which are straighten during brewing and Osmanthus flowers.
